Welcome, people who like Exotic Animals!

This group started out three years ago as "The Gilbert Exotic Animal Rescue Meetup Group". Members have indeed saved & adopted a lot of animals. But there are other groups focused on actual rescues, and they do it much better than we do!

Now called "The Gilbert Exotic Animal Encounter Meetup Group", it's focus is to be a humorous social outlet for fans of animals to get together. After all, sports fans have their groups who go to Baseball games and/or have beer parties as they watch The Super-Bowl on TV. It's about time we have an amusing, fun group which brings together both EXOTIC animals and PARTY animals. Whether it's swimming in our pools with playful turtles, forming groups to attend exotic pet expos, doing outdoors activities (hiking, SCUBA-diving, etc.), or simply laughing it up at zoos/aquariums, this group will continue to be a light-hearted, amusing group for animal lovers. And if we rescue an occasional animal along the way, all the better.
